Summer Oil Period
It is commonly known as the Summer Oil Spray. Summer oils are generally applied to combat citrus pests as this is the heavy time of year for such. In addition to summer oils, the timing is perfect for supplementing it with your third granular NPK fertilizer feeding. You can also reduce your watering schedule as this is generally the rainy time of year.
The Role of Nutrition
Calcium – It is utilized by plants for cell division and formation, aids in translocation of photosynthesis from leaves to fruiting organs, and increases fruit set.
Boron – This is important for proper germination and pollen grain production, essential for cell wall formation, and promotes maturity.
